3 Tips on Acting on Your Passion - CoryG Fitness

#1 Free time & mentors

What do you do with your free time? What makes you happy? Does time fly by when you partake in this action?

When I was just 14 years old, I could just lift weights for hours and hours. This led to me being obsessed with reading about lifting weights in magazines. It became very evident to me what direction I had to go with my life. What wasn’t evident to me was what I had to do next. What happens is that most people in your life will see it as a hobby, and you’ll see it as your passion.

Who makes money doing what you defined as your passion? How can you learn and grow from this person? What material of theirs can you read up on? What kind of options do you have available in your sector?

Once you have the answers to these questions, the most important thing to do is act, but most won’t unfortunately. What will it take to learn to make this a reality? Mentors can be some of best resources to utilize on your path, so make sure to seek them out.

#2 Reverse engineer

Let’s say you want to open a gym, but right now you sell insurance. In this scenario, the majority of people are paralyzed with the fear of that they will never start because Point A to Point B seems light years away. You must work backwards to get a true strategy on how this will happen.

Knowing these actionable steps towards your ultimate goal and having some type of plan makes the world of difference. The most interesting aspect is going to be where the process takes you. You will adapt along the way.

#3 Daily action

Taking daily action is the golden ticket to expediting your goals.

Chasing your passion while having another job you don’t want can make it tough, but you have to bite the bullet to provide for your family. That being said, you must become the most effective person with your time so that you can maximize your output to make your dreams a reality. Whether it is 20 minutes or 2 hours, doing something productive every day is a major key to staying on track. I urge you to sleep less, and to evaluate your time to see how much you are indeed wasting.
