Do You Believe in Visualization? - CoryG Fitness

Always a dreamer

I always considered myself a bit of a daydreamer. I always was searching for a new or different situation than the one I grew up in. After working in a coal mine shoveling coal on my knees for 16 hours a day, I daydreamed a lot.

Where did it start? I wanted to become a personal trainer and own my own studio.

I kept wondering to myself, “What’s possible if I keep working like this? What’s possible if I apply this work ethic to being a personal trainer?”

And when that fateful day arrived, I seized the opportunity and threw all my chips in. I took action and did what I needed to do in order to make it happen. I built out what I had drawn up in my head and was ready to execute.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator style=”shadow” border_width=”2″ css_animation=”fadeIn”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=”fadeIn”]

Where did it go?

Becoming a personal trainer and starting my own studio eventually led me to the world of sports nutrition.

Being in the health and fitness industry, competing, and going to the Arnold Classic every year, I started to visualize starting and owning my own supplement brand one day.

I began to visualize being a cover model on magazines. I visualized having my own version of Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory. I visualized having all of my businesses under one roof in my town.

I saw it all in my head before it happened.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator style=”shadow” border_width=”2″ css_animation=”fadeIn”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=”fadeIn”]

Visualization backed by action

Visualization backed by action. That’s the key. Don’t let someone or society take away your dream. I’m living proof that it works. I’ve proved it time and time again.

Where do you want to go? How are you going to get there? What kind of strategy do you need in order to get there? Figure out what you want, then work backwards to figure out how to get there.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

No joke this morning while squatting I was literally wondering what Gs take was on visualization and the importance of it. I got under 315 lbs today on squat and rep’d three times and I’d say visualization was a big part of making it happen as I haven’t been under 315 in a very long time. I wrapped my knees tight, cinched the belt down, got under the bar, and saw myself repping 3…and then made it happen. When you’re feeling good take advantage of it and push yourself!
