Over 20 Years.
That’s how long it’s taken me to arrive where I am right now. Working in the coal mine to save enough money to move to Columbus. Quitting the tennis club and starting my own personal training studio at age 20. Co-founding MusclePharm. Starting CoryG Fitness. Co-founding Max Effort Muscle. Buying out my majority partner at Max Effort Muscle. Moving Old School. Purchasing a building that can house everything under one roof in my town.
Why am I rambling on & on? Because so many of these situations required me to do something that was uncomfortable. Coal mining is fucking hard. Quitting my job at the tennis club and starting my own business – with no guarantees – was hard. Starting MP and Max Effort – huge undertakings.
BUT THAT’S WHERE THE SAUCE IS. That’s where the growth is. I’m not sure who said it, but there’s truth to the saying, “Your life can be measured by the number of uncomfortable conversations you’re willing to have.”
