Dips are a staple for building impressive upper body strength, but what if shoulder pain makes them nearly impossible? CoryG hasn’t let a completely ruptured rotator cuff stop him. He’s perfected a tri-set that allows him to continue performing dips by minimizing stress on his shoulders, ensuring his workouts remain intense but injury-free.

Dips are crucial for crafting a strong upper body, well-developed pecs, and a defined chest, so I’ve always made sure they’re part of my routine—even after a complete rotator cuff tear left me doubting if I could ever perform them again. That’s why I designed a three-part warm-up to prepare my shoulders for the demands of the dip bar.
