Why Streaks Matter
I’ve learned over the years that the hardest part of making progress isn’t motivation — it’s consistency. Motivation fades, but a streak builds its own momentum.
When you’re on a streak, it’s no longer a decision — it’s who you are. You don’t ask, “Am I going to the gym today?” You just go. That’s the power of stacking days and refusing to break the chain.
Where My Streaks Started
My own streaks started with lunges. Every single day. Rain, snow, heat, doesn’t matter. At first it was about conditioning, but soon it became something bigger. The streak rewired how I thought about commitment and the importance of showing up every day.
Now, streaks are everywhere in my life. Early mornings, in the gym, reading, meditating, spending time with family. Each streak builds confidence, and that confidence carries into everything else I do.
How to Build Your Own Streaks
Don’t overthink this. Start small. Pick something you can commit to daily, and build from there:
-
Gym Streak → Go every day, even if it’s just to move. You’ll never regret showing up. Try The Move 22.
-
Daily GPP Streak → Walking, running, lunging, pushups. Doesn’t matter. Just move.
-
Mind Streak → Audiobook, podcast, or a real conversation that makes you think.
-
Relationship Streak → Text, call, or connect with one person daily.
