I didn’t think it would work either…
For 15 years, I lived and breathed the classic bodybuilder’s diet of 5 to 6 meals a day, perfectly timed, always prepped. Same foods over and over out of the endless tupperware. I’d learned from some of the best in the game, like Dr. Eric Serrano and Dr. Mauro Di Pasquale, and I wasn’t looking to change.
And the only reason I tried fasting in the first place was because I got tired of people asking about it. I figured I’d test run it for a bit, check the box, and move on.
But what happened next completely changed the way I eat.

The old problem: constant cravings
Even with discipline, cravings were a daily battle. If you’ve ever tried to stick to a diet long-term, you know how exhausting it is to fight them off. For most people, it’s the main reason they quit. Not eating enough and not eating quality food led to uncontrollable nighttime cravings that were super hard to fend off.
The new reality: no cravings
Once I started fasting, the cravings disappeared… almost completely and immediately. And it wasn’t about “being stronger” or “using more willpower.” It was just different.
After fasting for 14–16 hours, something changes in your stomach cavity. It’s not constantly stretched with digestion happening all day, so over time, it naturally gets smaller.
How it works
When I break my fast, I fill up with high-quality food. I’m not counting my calories, I’m eating until I’m satisfied. Because my stomach is smaller, I fill up faster. That’s it. Basic principle, big result.
By fasting until lunchtime, you keep your insulin levels steady. That means no mid-morning crash, no blood sugar rollercoaster, and no desperate trips to the vending machine.
Throughout the day, I stay hydrated and protect my muscles by drinking water and Amino Recovery (no calories, but helps with repair and hydration).
The payoff
I’m not just leaner. I’m the most jacked and strongest I’ve ever been. Thousands of people have tried this approach and seen insane results. And the best part? When you’re not fighting cravings every day, the whole thing becomes way easier to stick to.
