Why I Fast 16 Hours a Day (and Still Eat Sugar at Night)

No starvation. No restriction. Just a simple, flexible system that works.

Most people overcomplicate fasting. They think it means starving or suffering.

Here’s what it actually means for me:

  • 16 hours off / 8 hours on: I stop eating after dinner and don’t eat again until late morning or early afternoon. That’s it.
  • Mental clarity in the morning: No big breakfast means no energy crash.
  • Better digestion, better energy: My meals are more intentional.
  • I still eat sugar and drink wine: This plan gives me room to live.

I don’t fast to follow trends. I fast to:

  • Train better
  • Stay lean year-round
  • Keep my brain sharp
  • Actually enjoy my food without overthinking it

This is a flexible system. And it works because it’s sustainable.
