1. We took our time and dated for 5 years prior to getting married. Take your time to make sure. That’s ok.

2. Our personalities complement each other, and although sometimes tough Lord knows I need it and so does she.

3. Communication is high on everybody’s list. They can’t read your mind remember that.

4. We talked in great length about kids and parenting and how important it was for each of us.

5. I trust Rachael and I’ve always trusted her. I been like this since the college days and that freedom on both sides is important.

6. Life is hard and you need a partner to lean on for life.

7. Talk about your aspirations in depth. Rachael gave up her professional life to help me realize my dream and I don’t take that lightly.

8. Tell them what they need to hear not what they wanna hear.

9. Experiences together are the sauce it’s what you’ll remember. Push each other to spend time doing things.

10. Rachael is the best memory maker.

11. Parenting is so difficult, so when you have someone that is truly nurturing you’re lucky. Our kids are so blessed.

12. Regulate each other on when to take breaks on whatever life challenges are which is just honest observation.

13. Rachael has reinforced for years her belief in me – even on the days when I don’t believe in myself. She told me once where is winner Cory at? I don’t like what I’m hearing, this isn’t you.

14. People change as they get older. Make sure to calibrate often on goals together.

15. Remember to date each other. This is probably one of the hardest things to continue.

16. I’m constantly telling Rachael how pretty she is. I think she thinks I’m lying to her, but I look at her and think this every time I see her. I’ve been attracted to her since the first time I saw her.

17. I know she has my back and I have hers. It’s goes without saying, but it’s also good to say it out loud sometimes.

18. A healthy lifestyle together has been amazing. It shows we both care to stay sexy.

19. I need someone’s shoulder to cry on too. We all do… life is difficult as hell.

20. I knew she was my wife early I’m glad I listened to my intuition.
