If money wasn’t a factor, what would you do in your “perfect day?”
This may be something that you already do or do not do, but the perfect day concept can be impactful if utilized properly. Try it. Map out your perfect day all the way down to what restaurant you would go to, who you would hang out with, what hobby you would do, etc. Be as specific as you can when doing this, because the more specific you are, the more you will get out of this concept.
Once you construct the blueprint to your perfect day, the next step is to reverse engineer. What I mean here is that we now have your perfect day, but we now need to see what we need to do in order to make this a reality. Start with the finish, and work backwards.
I know it sounds crazy, but for me I would choose to continue getting up early to be at the gym with my 4am crew. There is something special about the calmness of the early morning that puts me at ease, allows me to train without worrying about life outside the gym, and finally allows me to think clearly with a level head. It makes me feel alive.
What it comes down to here is that I want to be doing something that is going to impact people in a positive way. Corygfitness.com has done just that by serving as the platform to bring you valuable information in the fitness, nutrition and mindset realms.
For lunchtime, I would spend it with someone I love. Whether it be my wife, kids, or mom, it must be someone that is important to me. This is a part of my day that I have learned to cherish because it wasn’t always this way.
When I’m older, I would like to play nine holes a day. I’m not sure if this will be after my morning workout, or in the afternoon, but golf is something I genuinely enjoy to do. Eighteen holes takes a little too long for me, so sticking with nine would be perfect. Another thing that is unique about golf is that you can play your entire life!
Right now, in the afternoon I would like to do something that is impactful for my profession. Whether this is speaking to a high school class, at a seminar, or to a sports team, it doesn’t matter. I want to make a difference in someone’s life.
To conclude my perfect day, I without a doubt will be with my family. Spending time with family watching a show, or going out to our favorite restaurant is something I strive to not take for granted. Life goes way too fast to miss out on the things that really matter.
So I ask you… what is your perfect day?
